At least 16 people have been killed and more than 100 injured after a terror attack in Spain.
A white van mounted the footpath in Barcelona, running down pedestrians in the popular Las Ramblas district.
At least 16 people have been killed but authorities expect that number to rise.
An Australian woman is among the 100 people injured.
The woman, believed to be from New South Wales, is in a serious but stable condition in a Barcelona Hospital.
Two young men from Victoria have also been caught up in the incident and will seek their own medical treatment.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The driver of the van has not been arrested but authorities do have two men connected to the attack in custody.
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said any Australians in the city need to play it safe and exercise common sense.
