Police have charged a 27-year-old following a bizarre chainsaw episode in a Bunnings carpark.
A 27-year-old Beckenham man is due to appear in court after being charged over a meth-induced rampage in a Bunnings carpark.
Around 6pm on Wednesday the man got out of his vehicle at the Cannington Bunnings carpark and used a golf club and chainsaw to damage his own vehicle.
Bystanders filmed the episode while Police rushed to the scene.
Upon their arrival officers were yelled at by the offender.
Police drew tasers and instructed the man to drop to the ground. The man complied with police and was handcuffed.
Bystanders assisted police in restraining the man when he became aggressive while handcuffed.
An ambulance and more officers arrived. The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for medical assessment.
He's been charged with disorderly behaviour in public and possessing a prohibited drug, methylamphetamine.
He'll appear before a court at a later date. The investigation in ongoing.
