Mandurah detectives have released a composite image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation into the weekend carjacking in Wannanup.
The man is described as fair skinned, approximately 25-29 years of age with short black hair, a strong build and broad shoulders.
Police are again asking any vehicles that drove down Westview Parade between 4.45pm and 5:00pm on Saturday and may have dash camera footage to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Mandurah detectives said three other vehicles were seen in the area at the time, including a light green Holden Commodore (possibly a VZ or VY model), a Nissan Patrol and a white Courier style van.
A 41-year-old man suffered extensive cuts above both his eyes which required stitches, bruising to both eyes and his face, ribs and back.
The man was was sitting in his white Hyundai Getz in the beach carpark at the end of Westview Parade when the offenders allegedly reached through the open driver’s door window and began punching the victim to his face and upper torso a number of times before dragging him out of his vehicle.
The offenders stole the victim’s white Hyundai Getz, registration number 1EJW008.
The vehicle has still not been located.
