Police are investigating a violent home invasion in Beeliar where a man was bashed unconscious.
The 66-year-old man was home alone at a residence on Shrike Lane around 1pm on Thursday when it is believed an intruder struck him in the head causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.
When he woke up, he heard a noise and saw a man jumping over his side fence, but despite attempts to stop the offender he managed to get away.
The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment to a head injury.
Police searched the area but could not find the offender.
