Construction on the circular estuary pool on the eastern foreshore in Mandurah is set to begin.
The design of the enclosed estuary pool features a floating jetty platform which gives a nod back to the days of the Mandurah baths and Robert Day Memorial Pools in the 1950s and 60s.

The Eastern Foreshore works also include an upgraded beach area with ramps access and upgraded jetty and boat parking facilities, creating more water-based recreation and tourism opportunities.
The project is part of the overall $22 million Mandurah Waterfront initiative funded by the Federal Government, the State Government and the City of Mandurah.
Construction of the pool is expected to be completed in 2021.
