Police have managed to identify and locate the man responsible for desecrating the Fremantle Monument Hill war memorial.

After this man's image went viral earlier this week Western Australian Police have managed to identify and locate the man.

It's alleged he dumped a bucket of his own waste onto several statues at the Fremantle Monument Hill war memorial on Sunday.

WA Police have just revealed they've located the man and inquiries are ongoing.
