Strike Force Vulcan are searching for three youths they believe can help their investigation.
Detectives from the Arson Squad’s Strike Force Vulcan are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into a scrub fire that occurred in East Rockingham last week.
On Wednesday, December 13 at around 2.50pm Strike Force Vulcan officers and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the fire in bushland near Patterson and Office Roads.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
Detectives wish to speak to the pictured youths who they believe can assist with this investigation.
They were part of a group of five youths seen walking away from the fire area along Wellard Road towards Kwinana immediately after the fire.
They are described as being 14 to 20 years of age, with fair skin.
One was wearing a bike helmet with his face was covered by a bandana.
Anyone who was in the vicinity of the fire area between two and four o'clock that afternoon who may have seen any suspicious people, vehicles or activity, or has any information regarding this fires is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
