Next year is guaranteed to be big for Mandurah Forum with the team currently working behind the scenes on the construction of the final stage of the centre.
Shoppers are edging closer and closer to seeing the newly renovated Mandurah Forum in it's full glory ahead of the 2018 grand reopening.
The 350 million dollar project is in the final stages with David Jones construction well underway.
Centre Manager, Jacqueline McKenzie said the transformation, which has nearly doubled the size of Mandurah Forum, is on schedule with building works currently focused on the new David Jones mall, the alfresco dining precinct complete with a water oasis and the new food court with indoor-outdoor playground facilities.
“The buzz of construction continues with our team of builders and local tradespeople working hard to create the new-look Mandurah Forum,” She said.
In the new David Jones mall, the stores are close to being completely ready for brands and retailers to start fitting out in the new year and the diamond designed roof seen throughout the centre is on track to be complete before Christmas.
The centrepiece of the new forum will be the child-friendly food court with the new playground boasting a coastal theme celebrating Mandurah's location and flora and fauna.
“We can’t wait to give our growing local community and visitors to the Peel region a new destination where they can relax, shop, feast and connect,” Jacqueline added.
The water oasis in the alfresco dining precinct is underway with tilers onsite next month to complete construction.
Shoppers have been given a taste of what’s to come with the centre’s first major retail stage opening in July with Mandurah Forum welcoming a brand-new Target, over 60 speciality stores and a fresh food market hall.
